Geo SCADA can already send alarms by email and text message. SCS adds the phone call. It calls, texts, and emails your on-call people in order, keeps escalating until someone acknowledges, and runs on your own servers, next to Geo SCADA.
Geo SCADA and SCS
Geo SCADA's alarm redirection is the right tool for notifications. When an alarm needs a person to answer it, at any hour, SCS runs the callout.
How it connects
SCS takes alarms from Geo SCADA through a SQL Server alarm queue, so there's no email gateway to maintain and no OPC server licence to buy. An alarm leaves the queue only after its callout has been built, so none is dropped.
Alarms that need a callout are queued for SCS in SQL Server, and SCS picks them up within seconds.
It looks up the point and region, picks the call list, and puts people and devices in order, skipping anyone marked away.
Voice calls, texts, and emails go out on schedule, one person at a time, or all at once for the alarms you choose. Each carries a short alert number.
The first acknowledgement stops the callout for everyone. Every step is logged.
In production
SCS reads ClearSCADA alarms for a U.S. pipeline operator across several regional servers, each with its own call lists and alert numbers. A watchdog service restarts SCS if any part stops responding, and every change is regression-tested on a simulator bench before it ships.
Questions
No. Keep redirection for the email and text notices you already send. SCS handles the alarms that need a person to answer: voice callout, escalation, and acknowledgement.
Yes. Geo SCADA Expert is the current name for ClearSCADA, and SCS is in production on ClearSCADA.
No. SCS takes alarms through a SQL Server alarm queue, not through OPC.
That depends on each customer's integration. We decide it with you when we scope the connection.
Press 1 on the call, reply to the text with the alert number, or call in and key their employee ID and alert numbers. There are no links to click, so an email scanner can't acknowledge an alarm by accident.
On Windows servers you control, next to Geo SCADA, not in a vendor's cloud. Larger systems run several SCS servers, each covering its own region.
Yes. SCS has built-in personnel management, or we connect it to your HR or scheduling system so nobody keeps two lists.
It does the same job and more. A dialer calls a fixed list from one site. SCS works from your personnel data across all your sites, adds text and email, escalates until someone acknowledges, and keeps a record of every callout.
Other SCADA systems can feed SCS through the same kind of SQL Server alarm table. Tell us what you run.

Tell us how your Geo SCADA system is set up and how you call people out today. We'll come back with a straight, buildable plan, or an honest “here's why that's not worth it.”
We read every message. A real person gets back to you.
